1. ¿Qué es exactamente la aparatología estética?What exactly are aesthetic devices?
Se llama aparatología estética al conjunto de equipos que aplican algún tipo de energía física (radiofrecuencia, ultrasonidos, luz, corriente eléctrica, succión, frío o calor) sobre la piel o el tejido subyacente para conseguir un efecto visible: tensar, remodelar, estimular la producción de colágeno o mejorar la circulación, entre otros. "Aesthetic devices" refers to equipment that applies some form of physical energy (radiofrequency, ultrasound, light, electrical current, suction, cold or heat) to the skin or underlying tissue to achieve a visible effect: tightening, remodeling, stimulating collagen production, or improving circulation, among others.
Conviene distinguirla de otras dos familias de tratamiento con las que convive en cualquier centro: los tratamientos químicos y tópicos (peelings, cosmecéutica de cabina, mascarillas) y los tratamientos inyectables (ácido hialurónico, bioestimuladores, exosomas). Las tres familias se combinan constantemente en un mismo protocolo, pero cada una tiene su propia lógica, su propio riesgo y, sobre todo, su propio marco legal sobre quién puede aplicarla. It's worth distinguishing it from two other treatment families it coexists with in any clinic: chemical and topical treatments (peels, in-clinic cosmeceuticals, masks) and injectable treatments (hyaluronic acid, biostimulators, exosomes). All three families are constantly combined in the same protocol, but each has its own logic, its own risk and, above all, its own legal framework on who is allowed to apply it.

En España, no toda técnica que mejora la piel se puede aplicar desde un centro de estética. La frontera no depende de si el resultado "se nota mucho" o "poco", sino de si el equipo o la sustancia atraviesa la barrera cutánea o actúa a una profundidad e intensidad reservada a un acto médico. In Spain, not every technique that improves the skin can be applied from an aesthetics center. The line doesn't depend on how visible the result is, but on whether the equipment or substance breaks the skin barrier or acts at a depth and intensity reserved for a medical act.
Esta serie va a cubrir tratamientos de ambos lados de esa frontera porque forman parte del mapa completo del sector, pero en cada ficha se indicará con claridad quién puede aplicar lo que se describe.
